The 19th Annual Convention and Scientific Seminar of Kidney Foundation will be held on 30th September to 1st October, 2023 at Samson H. Chowdhury Centre-Dhaka Club, Bangladesh. This seminar will be held in collaboration with Royal London Hospital, United Kingdom and International Society of Nephrology. This year is the most important for Kidney Foundation Hospital as we are going to graduate from SRC (Sister Renal Centre) Program of ISN and will be able to become ISN Regional Training Center to support the development of nephrology at a local regional level.

Chronic Kidney disease is increasingly being recognized throughout the world. 85 million people are suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). Of them more than 80 per cent are from low and LMIC. As a result, more than 2-7 million die prematurely due to death and disability and now become the 12th cause of death around the world.

In Bangladesh, CKD are also increasing. The health care professionals, the general population, stake holders and policy makers need to be involved to alleviate the burden of CKD.

This year's main theme is decided to focus on prevention of Chronic kidney disease. The prevention of CKD is to be started at the community level. Screening for diabetes, Hypertension and CKD is the most important way to prevent the disease. Delegates from UK and speakers from South Asia are expected to join the conference. Clinical cases and updates regarding ongoing research from all participating organizations will be shared and discussed. The inauguration will be held on 30th September, 2023, at 9am at Samson H. Chowdhury Centre-Dhaka Club. There will be scope for both oral and poster presentations.
